Wakeland Color Guard
Welcome to the website of the Wakeland Color Guard program at Wakeland High School. Currently in their 17th season, the program strives to display excellence in the areas of artistry, athleticism, and academia. The color guard will proudly perform with the Wakeland High School Band and Percussion program at surrounding Bands of America (BOA) and University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions. The winter guard competes in both their local circuit with North Texas Color Guard Association (NTCA) and nationally with Winter Guard International (WGI).
Congratulations to our Winter Guards on their following accolades this season:
2020 Color Guard / New Member Meeting
The Wakeland Band, Percussion, and Color Guard will be hosting a New Member Meeting on Thursday, March 26th from 6pm to 7:30pm for all prospective new members. This includes Cobb MS, Griffin MS, and Wakeland HS.
This meeting is held one month in advance of the 2020 Color Guard Auditions so you have ample time to plan your schedule and financial obligations.
The audition applications will still be ready my March 2nd! Bring a friend or two!
The tentative performance schedule for NTCA Wakeland has been released. The schedule will more-than-likely scramble and be adjusted by February 9th due to unit class restructuring. JV performs at 3:03pm, Varsity at 7:09pm.
